Rev-erb in complex with heme

Heme is a ligand for the Rev-erb human nuclear receptors, which are transcriptional repressors that play important roles in circadian rhythm, lipid metabolism, inflammation and diseases such as diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer. We have solved the crystal structure of rev-erb (beta) in complex with heme in its Fe(3) form.

Zinc Binding Catalytic Domain of Human Tankyrase 1 J Mol Biol. 2008 May 23; 379(1):136-45

The SGC team at the Karolinska Institute have determined the structures of many poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs). One of the latest is Tankyrase 1. Tankyrases are implicated in many important cellular functions including telomere homeostasis and mitosis.
